I bought the new Hyundai Elantra. 40mpg highway and it does get that for me. In town I get about 25-30. Lots of stop and go in our town. Comfortable car. Lot's of head room and back seat room....

It's 6:45pm and still 103 with a humidity of 22%. 22% isn't much but at 103 it's HOT. The high today was 106. I'm in the northern California central valley.
