Hi there gingered. The edges are just 2 1/2 inch strips sewed onto the edges of the compiled 4 scrappy blocks with squares in the corners. I then quilted the whole cushion top, attached front to back...

Simple scrap busting cushion

It took only 20 minutes to piece and about an hour to free motion quilt... but I love it all the same! It just uses up all the scraps left from a Moda jelly roll after making a matching King size bed...
