I am making table toppers for Christmas. I don't know what kind of batting would be best or none at all? I don't want them to be heavy as they won't drape nice on the table. Any suggestions?

Love the cutting out and piecing but I don't like the quilting. Usually send it out to a long arm quilter. But then it takes me quite awhile to get to the binding because that is the one I don't like...
