Don't forget clothing as a source or fabric, hospital scrub tops are a source for cute unusual prints and if you buy a larger size, the available yardage is fairly significant and not too pricey.

Thanks for all the replies, we figured out it is missing a part called a gib, it helps hold the needle in. Does anyone have a recommendation where to find one? My Ebay search turned up nothing.
