I already cut out my pieces so I can't make them bigger unless I go and buy more fabric. Thanks for the suggestions though! I will keep them in mind for the next time.

The center block is 5 and 7/8" across at the seam line

I just thought of one more thing, when putting the bobbin in the "case" be sure the thread is turning clockwise when it is being pulled from the case.
