For the smaller pieces, I use them at my regular...

For the smaller pieces, I use them at my regular sewing machine to start sewing on at the beginning of seams so I avoid the nesting of thread tails.

Made this valentine quilt with machine...

Made this valentine quilt with machine embroidered centers and it was not difficult to put octagons together ... thinking of using this technique as part of the Auburn project.

And for the other team ... thinking about doing Ohio Star (like the green shamrocks) with Auburn fabrics and possibly embroidery in the center to spell out "War Eagle" and "Auburn". Don't know yet...

Ditto. I just decided to take apart some blocks I sewed together when I was 12 yo, and the stitches are so small, I can barely get the ripper under them. I'm at the point I might just cut the seams...

I like hydrogen peroxide. I hand quilt and sometimes get a little blood on the lining ... dampen and rub gently until it completely disappears ... leaves no residue. Ask me why I don't recommend...

I use hydrogen peroxide to get tough stains out ... works on blood. I soak a makeup cleaning pad in it and gently wet the spot ... spots disappear quickly and do not leave a residue.

I leave my seam rippers put away and use my rotary cutter blade, especially on paper piecing unsewing. Then I use a piece of tape to get out the cut threads.
