People swear by Fels Naptha. It's a bar of soap used to laundry stains. It is sometimes hard to find. At my local store it's in the regular bar soap area (which doesn't make sense).

I like hydrogen peroxide. I hand quilt and sometimes get a little blood on the lining ... dampen and rub gently until it completely disappears ... leaves no residue. Ask me why I don't recommend using paper towels!!! lol White bathcloth, towel or makeup towelettes are what I use the most.

I've had that happen before too. Aqua Net Hairspray was the only thing I could find but it didn't get all the ink out. So Sorry I know that is frustrating!

Make sure to put a note above the washer - CHECK YOUR PANTS FOR INK PENS!!
I have to do a check on mine, mostly for kleenex & post-it note pads. Hope he can get the ink out.

My 13 y/o did this last year with all his khaki uniform pants for school. We used Orange Clean from the Dollar Store. It took out almost all of the ink from his clothes and the dryer. I made him scrub the inside of my dryer so he would have good reason to never leave a pen in his pants pocket again! Hope your son gets the stains out - ruining clothes is an expensive lesson.

Try nail polish remover. If the stains are not too large and set the acetone will sometimes help. You can also try hydrogen peroxide ( if not the drug store variety try some used for hair coloring) or Oxiclean. Just be sure to color test a small invisible area first especially for the higher strength peroxide or oxiclean. As someone once told me all stains can be removed, some just require a scissors.

DH had a ball point pen explode in his shirt pocket when we were first married. Grandma told me to soak it in milk. Took a while - I think I left it over night - the shirt was saved. Might be worth a try. Since it was in the dryer though it may have set the ink.

Carbona has an ink remover. You should be able to find it at WalMart in the area with cleaning products.

SATURATE THE INK with HAIR SPRAY and re-wash the clothing like you would normally. This trick works on permanent marker as well.
(I use a pump hair spray, not an aerosol can).
Please keep me posted, it worked for me the other day on my husband's shirt. He didn't even know I got ink on it!
