    I have never colored mine. It is salt and pepper and getting more so everyday. I watched my mother battle gray hair for half of her life, she lived to be 93. Decided that wasn't for me.

    I always use bias binding, and handstitch on the back. It's the way I was taught by my mother and have stayed with it. I'm sure there are quicker methods.
