15-91 Needle locked up?

I was sewing some slipcovers and the needle locked up and will not turn. What could have happened? My husband is pretty handy with motors, can he fix it or is it a repairman fix?

Thanks for the nice comments. I learned quite a bit making this quilt--I think if I made a second would it be so much nicer--but it was very appreciated and that's all that matters.
