Goo Gone is the best for any sticky things. Be sure to put a small amount on cloth (I using cotton batting pieces) so it doesn't drip. It's found in the paint department in most stores.

I have found that 2 yds works pretty good. But if you like the fabric, go for it. If you watch for fabric for backings you need the handy quilt calculator. I couldn't live without it!

I buy them where you in a long strip from Brewer and cut them to size. But that is a great hint to pull it from the middle. It would be more secure!
