You can also purchase a stitch in the ditch foot. They are about $30. I find it is a little easier to stay in the ditch.

I have this machine and I love it. Just don't try and sew jeans on it. I used my old machine for that. It is also a Kenmore made by White and it is 34 years old. I love that machine also.
