Any USB can be used in a machine. There is a lot that can be done in the small hoop so look forward to it!! It's great learning curve you can carry up to a bigger machine later.

My sister in law has this and it's a workhorse. Although a few years old, it's still listed on Brother's website! She embroiders a lot - with success.
