Add about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda while cooking beans. I don't change the water after adding baking soda. Don't add salt until beans are done. Salt causes the beans to be tough.

I use this recipe, it is so easy. Chocolate pudding with crunchy peanut butter if like a Reece Cup.
No crust LESS calories. My family refers crunchy p/b for pie, add whipped topping for fancy pie.
