Love your quilt and really love your reason for making it. So sorry for your loss and the YMCA's loss. Sometimes I just don't understand why some really good people leave us prematurely. They are people who do so much good that we need them to stick around longer.

Yes the background is a convergence. I actually had it in my stash. I had made it a couple of years ago to use for the background of something else. The colors just didn't do what I had wanted them to do. I remade it. I knew I would find a good use for this one. I love how it came out. He will be sorely missed.
