What you call mac-tac there, is called "ConTac" paper here, even though it is not paper.

I have cut off the front piece as long as it is...

I have cut off the front piece as long as it is not written on, cut the edges with pinking shears, punched a hole in them, and use them as tags on gifts the next year.
