I had thread problems and now use a size 14...
I had thread problems and now use a size 14 needle for all quilting and have not had a problem since. Good thread is a must also.

I find stitching in the ditch to be difficult. A slight loss of concentration and the stitch is out of its track or crooked. Some quilts are just made for SITD.
