UltraFractal is a fractal generating software available from www.ultrafractal.com. I took online classes taught by Janet Parke, a fractal artist, in how to use this software. These classes are now available as e-books on the UltraFractal website. Fractals are self-replicating, mathematically generated patterns. I've no clue how this works, but just playing around with the software can teach you a lot. Some patterns are pure garbage, others are breathtaking.

As for recreating fractals in fabric, I used the same fused raw-edge technique as I did for Beach Baby and Driftwood Beach.
