The IDT is WONDERFUL ... it's a BUILT-IN walking foot that you don't have to attach (unlike all the other manuf.). It is there behind the presser foot all the time, and if you DON'T want to use it on a certain project you just disengage it. Simple as that. It is wonderful for straight line & ditch quilting and esp for borders & bindings. It's been on Pfaffs for about 15-20 yrs I think ... The Janome 6600 is the only other machine I'm aware of now that offers a built in dual feed foot. :)

Babylock offers a machine called the Quest Plus that has the built in walking foot (IDF). It is very similar to my Pfaff 7570, plus the feet between Pfaff and the Quest Plus are interchangable!
