i researched it before i posted and i know it was made in scotland, in clydebank, outside edinburgh, in 1953. since then, i looked up singer 99K and saw pix and they were exactly the same.
do you have a pic of the 201?
My serial # is EJ257447 and also says 99K.
they were probably made the same day, the numbers re so close.
