looking at your gm's, now i have some questions about mine. on mine, there is a little hole to the right of the spindle. it's almost totally surrounded by metal. there's another on the left side, no metal. on gm's i see that the bobbin-winding wheel rubber is white. on mine it's black. on gm's (is that the belt?) the belt appears to be flat and whitish. on mine it's round and black rubber.

billy, i know you're lurking, so can i also get a new ring for the bobbin winder? that's about to go.
My bobbin winder is actually gray but I think it used to be black. It's faded and also cracked. I need a new one also. The belt is black (probably dust you saw) but it is flat. I need a manual also. Said online that there wasn't one available. And I also have the holes you were talking about. Wonder what they're for.
billy can get the bobbin winder rubber ring if you want to replace it for use.
