I've been the loner type all my life. Never had a really "close, do everything with" kind of friend. I do have friends and they are like me: prefer shopping alone, don't like chatting on the phone endlessly, but like to get together occasionally. I don't have friends who quilt but my daughters do and the 3 of us like to do the annual shop hop together or go to the LQS. One daughter is like me and the other is very social, always on her cell and visiting with friends. Each to her own.
