Cover the surface under your quilt with newspaper and throw an old sheet on the floor. I recently saw a video which featured spray basting a quilt on a wall covered with newspapers and some kind of tile. I want to go back to the video and see what kind of tile she used. I thought I didn't have wall space in my house to do this, but I think I may have found it. I'll let you know if I find out what kind of tile it was.
