I agree. While I lost both my parents and grandparents on my mother's side to cancer (no brest cancer). I refuse to buy anything with pink ribbons on it. I think it's gotten to be a marketing ploy now.
If you sister is very private I would use something else. It sounds like she doesn't want to talk about it and this would always be a reminder.
