We had hot dogs and "Julius" drinks made with fruit juice, a cup of ice, a simple syrup and the special Julius powder. Those were pre-smoothie. Not sure if there are any of them anymore. Ours closed quite a few years ago. It was a good experience but I never have to work in the food industry again.
Oh, yes, they're still around. I've seen them in mall food courts from New Jersey to California. Sometimes the stand is combined with another franchise, such as hot dogs or fish.
