I have a hard time NOT taking a needy little critter in and trying to bottle/syringe-feed. Most of the time I'm successful but then there are those other times. All 3 of my furkids (in the house) are from Mom's who shoved them away (only the Mom knows the reason) and all 3 are great. My DH asks me every time "are you sure you want to do this AGAIN?" Don't let the passing of your kid stop you from doing it the next time one needs your help ....... something just might have been genetically wrong with the little guy and Mom Nature took him home.
