Dear Erika - now I am envious! A quiltshow!! I went to the one in Houston twice, and have been in Paducah 5 times (I think) - and if Columbus is anything like Paducah .... bring a credit card! And don't suddenly think of how you are going to use a fabric - just buy what you like! Whenever I started thinking about where to use a specific fabric and ended up NOT buying it, I also ended up regretting it. As for the JoAnn fabric stores: I would buy only fabric for backing there (if at all) - they do have nice looking fabric, but the quality is not like what you'll find in quiltshops. What they have though is batting: I use Mountain Mist Quilt Light, and JoAnn has it.
