I looked at your 2nd post about CS and the pattern I am using is on pg 3 of that sight! Thanks for the research!
As you can see, the CSq block (to distinguish it from the CSt block ;-) ) is still very popular, especially with the contemporary modern quilting crowd. I think it looks great in all fabric styles.

When I was trying to figure it out, I actually stumbled across another QB member's CSq quilt. Small world.
