I have my mom's. I went online to the singer web site. The number on the front of the machine is what you want to look for. I found that mine was a 1947. I need to get it in for some cord replacements and have not been brave enough to try it until it has been serviced. Have fun. I'm looking forward to getting mine done so I can use it. I learned to sew on this machine and it is one of the few things my mom gave just to me.
