I make lingerie straps in the shoulder seams of dresses and blouses. You can use narrow ribbon or chain stitch (thread). Fasten one end to the garment near the sleeve seam and a snap at the other end. Sew the female part of the snap to the shoulder seam about an inch from the neckline. Hope this makes sense.
