On my Singer I can use Coats and Clarks for piecing but the Bernina says 'no way'. So on my Bernina I use Connecting Threads and it works great. It is linty so I am sure to clean the machine quite often. I would love to use the expensive stuff, but right now I am not. And I never make what I call 'heritage quilts', quilts that are meant to last forever.
