I have an Ottlite that I never think to use, but, every bulb in my house is a day-light bulb, much nicer light than an average lightbulb and a heck of a lot easier on the electric bill.

We just moved into a house from an apartment and the first thing my husband did was to change all the bulbs in the fixtures to daylight bulbs. He has chronic depression and the daylight bulbs seem to help him a lot with that in the winter.

I bought a floor lamp at Lowe's for 19.00 that I have by my chair, it has a dimmer 13w daylight bulb facing upward and a stronger 23w daylight bulb facing down towards my chair if I want to sew. Each has it's own switch so if I'm not sewing I just use the upward one for general lighting. My hubby liked the way it worked so he got himself one for reading.
