I have blocked a large wall hanging after sewing the binding on the quilt. Had a lot of machine quilting in swirlls and it made some areas heavier and it did not hang straight.
A friend told me how to block it. I wet it completely and laid it on a large dry towel on top of my patio table and weighted down the 4 corners. My table is very open metal work and the air can dry it from underneath. I may have even put a dry towel on top of it. I think it took a good 24 hours to dry, but looks perfect now.
