I made a quilt for a dear friend who passed away at age 95. She had taken it with her while she spent her last days in palliative care. When I went to the visitation at the funeral home, I was stunned to see OUR quilt dreaped over her casket with a very modest arrangement from her family on top. I was really touched by this gesture. The quilt went home with the eldest daughter.
