I always think flowers are a waste of money too but, soooo many charities are spending way too much of their money on paying the big wages, so my feeling is if people want to honor their loved ones (friends or family) with flowers, who are we to tell them how to honor them? Just playing the devils advocate here. We are always thinking of others that have less than us (welfare) but we (even deceased) need to be honored by each of us in our own way. Sorry if this offends anyone but just another point of view.
