So sorry this happened and thank goodness you had the presence to stamp it out before there was any further damage. Yes, check the outlet there may be a problem there, or just to make sure it is okay to use. I will be keeping a very keen eye on mine! If this one gives me leaking problems, etc. I will never, ever buy another one. This is my 4th travel iron and they all leaked! Thanks for the warning!
