My deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family. I can understand your pain and loss totally.
I hope that you will find solace and peace in the creating process like I have. Every stitch, the effort to get up and to sit at the machine, every tear shed and loads loads more will manifest itself in the creation. It will be inspired with your memories too.
I know that before I started sewing again, I had nothing to lift me up each day. Now I look forward to seeing the next stage of completion. I hope that you gain as much or more than I have with your quilting. If you have been inspired by my post, thank you. If I can help anyone eventhough I am grieving, that would be a comfort to me.

Nice job on the quilt. I too lost my mum, only three weeks ago and also good friends have just had a longed for baby girl and I finally went to see her. So lovely. I came home and wanted to make a quilt ( I had wanted to before the baby was born but hadn't been able to get it done. It has been very helpful to get me back into sewing.
