Check on page 2 I showed a picture how i did it. I used the straight edge of my mat and started with about 9", then I found the centerpoint and kind of played with my straight rulers until it looked like a tree...not very scientific, but it worked

I know that there is probably a better and more accurate way of doing this, but it worked for me.
