I love the JT strip cutter -- I hate it when I can't use it. I use the 60mm rotary cutter and I can cut a bunch of strips with ease. I tend to do things backwards -- I find myself going from right to left (starting at the 12"/18") making my math a challenge. It works that way too -- thank goodness.
That's funny because I also go from right to left. When I first got the ruler I tried to go from left to right but it was too awkward.
In addition to cutting strips I also use it for squaring up my blocks. The large surface keeps the blocks from shifting. I love this ruler and wouldn't cut without it! They need to come up with one that is a little sturdier and maybe a little bigger. Also love the HST ruler.
