I choose not to pre-wash the pre-cut packs. I don't want to have to re-cut the pieces due to any shrinking that may occur (and it usually does). And, ironing all of those pieces would drive me crazy. I am a fan of the color catchers and Synthrapol for washing completed quilts to avoid any unwanted setting of colors.
