My Rowenta is 20 years old....it was made in Germany and I won it in a sales contest. It still works great BUT I understand that they are no longer made where originally manufactured so that is the difference. I also have an older Black & Decker that I used to use and still have. I will be sad when, if my Rowenta hits the dust. It sold for around $100 when I won it.
