It sounds like the '78 blizzard when CT roads were closed for 3 days. It WAS beautiful the day AFTER the snow stopped. We had a deep fat fryer, and my daughter called her high school pals that morning and said we were making doughnuts. We had a ball that day. Kids came on snow shoes, cross country skis etc. Many brought sandwich makings. Some brought milk and hot chocolate mix. We have a great sledding hill. No complaints.
Now I spend the winter in AZ, but I almost envy New England for the day AFTER the blizzard!
But, seriously, I hope your electricity stays on - or comes back quickly if you lose it.
