Another one I've done is a QAYG - I put the backing right side down, a layer of white flannel on top, and then sew rows of baby-ish fabrics in simple rows from one side to the other. I use strips of 2.5 inch fabrics, and really mix it up. Once you get to the other end, its already quilted, and you just have to put on a simple binding or prairie points if you want to get fancy. Very, very fast.
