If there is content in any magazine, quilting or otherwise, I don't mind the advertising. In printed material you can always flip past the advertising unlike broadcast (TV radio) where you have to wait for it to end. The advertising helps keep the magazine affordable. The issue for me is whether there is enough content to justify my buying the magazine in the first place. I know, we want it all - lots of content to our taste, no ads and low price. It's not going to happen.
