Right now my sewing room is my daughters old bedroom. It's big... 24x12... and great. It's not near, at all, as nice as your space, but still fabulous. I never really sewed before she moved out because I didn't have time nor the space. Now that I do, I'd give anything to move it all out, and to go back when she was home. A perfect sewing space is great. But, I'm betting family nearby will make your next place even better.
