I'm a middle/high school media specialist and I have many books to preview for our Accelerated reading lists as well as my own favorites. Audiobooks allow me to multi task in many situations. Another thing I really appreciate about Audible.com is I can return a book and get my credit back if I find I don't like a book due to the storyline, something about the book like language or content, or a narrator(s) I can't listen to. I also like that you can change the speed of the narrator's reading. Sometimes if a voice actor is reading with a heavy accent if a character requires it, I can slow the speed to catch every word. I chose this over trying to get books at the library because I need to listen to new releases as soon as they come out, but the public library is a great choice too if you can wait a little bit for really popular titles-provided it's a title the library chooses to carry.
Cybrarian, I too have an audible.com account with Amazon but didn't realize one could do all of what you say. I joined recently and perhaps I should have another look at the site to learn more. Any advice? Marie
