I got the border on my light background blocks.
I wanted to put the gold as a border all around, and then the piano keys, but I didn't have enough of it left for that. So it was on to plan B. It's kind of hard to tell in the picture, but I used the focal gold for the strips that met up with the corner blocks, and also for the center of the corner 9 patch blocks.
