I've had the batting so long I don't remember 100%, but if it's the Warm and Natural cotton I'm pretty sure I bought, it suggested 10" and the furthest parallel lines are like ... 4"?
I do have plenty of other projects I want to get to ... it's hard to step away from the perfectionism!
