We have had a Maytag front loader about 8 years. It works great for us. When we got it our daughter and 2 grandsons lived with us and our grandson's white baseball pants always looked bright and clean, (to start the game!). I thought that was a real test. I wash my new quilts, no problem. I can add clothes after it has started just by pressing pause during the beginning of the cycle. I wouldn't want to add anything too far into a cycle any way. We have had some repairs done, covered by a purchased extended warranty, well worth the cost. I will get another front loader when this needs to be replaced. I don't often reply to questions about front loaders any more because they seem to be so universally unpopular here, but here is my 2 cents today. My other daughter also has one for her active family of 5 and likes it. I think it is a Kenmore.
