I have an Ott light on my sewing table and a pole lamp (cheap, from Walmart) that has a 3 way bulb pointed at the ceiling for good general lighting and a smaller gooseneck one pointed at the sewing table. I now have very good lighting. When sewing dark fabrics, I still try to sew those during daylight hours. These old eyes aren't getting better.
