I lay two square RST, then fold the top one on the diagnonal to form a slight crease. That's my line that I sew 1/4" to the right of. I only crease the top one because folding two at the same time results in less accuracy. And besides, you only see the top piece anyway.
Sometimes I do the drawing and bisecting.
